The church of St Jakob the Elder is the dominant building on the left of the picture, in front of it the illuminated Christmas tree and the unicorn, barely recognisable is a lantern made of birch wood; the right two thirds of the picture show the main square with the pillory, Karbrunnen fountain and town hall. Shopping, indulgence and culture in the city center

Stores and restaurants invite you to a shopping night on 20.11.2026 as part of "The Night of the Senses". It starts as early as 17:00. This gives you plenty of time to stroll through the city center. During a relaxed and leisurely stroll through the city, visitors will experience special shopping moments until at least 9 pm, as well as music and culinary experiences.
