We can walk into the valley on the left or right side of the stream along the Kneipp adventure trail (over the footbridge at the forest pool). At the Klaus bridge we change to the left side of the stream (seen in the direction of flow). Past a mighty rock formation, the "Klausbachdachl", to the "Waldandacht". Continue to the "Höhrtrichter" station (beautiful adventure playground for children on and in the water) to the "Bruno Steg". There we cross the stream to the right-hand side, or walk straight ahead over the Gaiskirche church. Pass the "Bruno Spring" with a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary (legend of Squire Bruno, who returned from the Crusades with leprosy and was healed at this spring). Diagonally opposite on the left-hand side of the stream is a mighty rock, the "Gaiskirche". Continue over the "Schlager Brücke" bridge to the "Schlager Hütte" (covered rest area with table and benches). After the ascent at the "Feen- und Nymphenhain", the path branches off to the right up to the Schlagerwirt.
From the Schlagerwirt, continue straight on along the tarmac path to the "Güterweg Oberwallsee", in the direction of Bad Mühllacken, with wonderful views of the Eferding basin and, if visibility is good, as far as the Alps, past farms and the "Eidendorfer Kapelle" back to the starting point.
