Description:
The Kneipp-Trail combines nature, sports and health. You start in the town centre and walk down Villa-Böckweg, past the service dog school (former hydropathic establishment) on the left, on Schönfichten agricultural road. From the second bridge on the left, you`ll enter the Kneipp-Trail, after a short walk you`ll get to "Kasmühle" which you bypass on the agricultural road. After that, the first motor skills station is already waiting for you to warm up at. Then hike up Kempbach stream to the romantic waterfall where once the "Linzer Baths" of the hydropathic establishment were located.
On the way to the forest prayer site, another 7 motor skills stations are waiting to burn of energy and a natural Kneipp pool to tread water.
In the forest prayer site you`ll find a beautiful wooden cross, and enjoy the peacefulness before continuing up to lofty heights.
Then hike along an idyllic forest trail across Kricklberg down to "Bründl", where you can get some water treatment for your arm.
Tip:
The Kneipp-Trail is one of my personal favourite trails, as here you can also find food for the soul. Pay attention when hiking past the rushing waters in direction of the forest prayer site, here you can literally "hear" the silence, ensuring goosebumps. At the forest prayer site I recommend putting in a break and enjoying the fragrant forest air and peacefulness. My tip: another special place along the way, if you hike down Kricklberg you`ll find an arrow for a detour to "BaumkreisPlatzerl", make sure to follow this arrow! After a few steps you`ll come to the former "Kricklberger Gut" estate, where only a small section of the walls can still be seen. At this special power place you`ll find 3 of the trees of life of Bad Kreuzen`s tree circle with information boards, well worth a visit! And for sports fans of course the tip to incorporate the motor skills exercises on our "Fit&Fun route" into their walk, an absolute Power Workout!
Safety guidelines:
The Kneipp Trail can basically be walked on year-round, but in winter we ask you to be particularly careful as some icy spots can be expected.
