The war memorial for the fallen of the two world wars, which is owned by the municipality, is located to the west of the Karner near the parish church.
This memorial was erected according to a design by Prof. Hans Gerstmayr for the dead of the World War 1914-1918 and was inaugurated on 20 June 1924. Inscriptions were added to the plinth for the fallen of the Second World War 1939-1945.
A copper engraving by Prof. Hans Gerstmayr is attached to the pillar, a steel helmet on laurel and roses as well as a cross made of sheet copper in the upper part.
On 1 November each year, the fallen are commemorated with a wreath-laying ceremony and "I had a comrade", played by the Marktmusikkapelle Mauthausen.
