Zillenfahrt auf der Aist - "Hafen"

Schwertberg Zillenfahrt - just like in the old days

Until the beginning of the 1970s, the Zillenfahren on the Aist had a long tradition. Old postcards document this leisure activity. Back then, up to nine boats were rented out. After decades, the old tradition is now being revived. Two boats for rowing - called "WIG'gi" and "4311er" - have been purchased and can now be hired out. Each boat has room for 5 people.

Before the ride can start, you must register/register at the Thurner bakery (Monday-Friday during opening hours) or at the Pizzeria Venezia (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays during opening hours). Therefore, please take an ID with you. Before the journey, please state the duration of the journey.

A deposit of EUR 15.00 and a hire fee of EUR 5.00/hour must be paid when registering. The key for the boat will then be handed over. This must be returned after the trip.
The Zillen harbour is located at the Waschbrücke (Seilerstraße).

Please note:

• Each boat must have a suitable boat driver. (Minimum age 16)
• A boat has no brake, only one "reverse gear" and therefore reacts much more slowly - take this into account when manoeuvring.
• A lifejacket must be available for every person on board. Children and non-swimmers should always wear life jackets.
• Open fires on board are prohibited.
• Driving the boat under the influence of alcohol is not only irresponsible but also a criminal offence.
• Children and young people must not be left unattended.
• Waste must not be disposed of in the water - keep the waters clean!
