Musiktheater Linz

Linz, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • All weather

Musiktheater Linz is one of Europe’s most modern opera houses.

It was built according to plans by the famous architect Terry Pawson and was ceremoniously opened on 11 April 2013. The house delights with fine acoustics, every conceivable comfort and multimedia productions of opera, ballet, musical and operetta.

However, the audience is also welcome outside the performances and can gain a playful insight into the material in the KlangFoyer. This experience course, unique in the theatre world, was created in collaboration with the Ars Electronica Futurelab and surprises on many sensory levels.

Interested visitors can also regularly take a look behind the scenes of the modern opera house. Dates for the guided tours can be found on the website.
