The chapel is still visited by many pilgrims from the upper Mühlviertel region, especially in May. Between 1874 and 1877, Matthias Lanzersdorfer built this Marian pilgrimage church on a hill south-west of the village of Ramersberg, which is very popular as a pilgrimage and excursion destination. This daughter church is still the destination of pilgrimages today.
