Pfarrkirche Eidenberg

The parish church in honour of the Divine Saviour.
Already in 1512 the parish church is a documented pastoral care station of the diocese Wilhering.
Represented is the Divine Saviour by a sculpture of the flagellation, tied to the column of flagellation. This is very rare.
 
Additionally, two holy figures are noteworthy – on the left St. Florian and on the right St. Donatus, recognizable by his lightning flash and ear of corn attributes. The latter was also a loan during the national exhibition in Kefermarkt.
 
The parish church encompasses two side altars, a Mary’s altar and an altar of Leonhardi. Thus, Eidenberg has a long tradition as a pilgrimage church to St. Leonhard. Approximately 25 years ago the horse ride “Leonhardritt” with the blessing of horses was introduced at the traditional church day “Leonhardikirchtag” on the Sunday after the day of Leonhardi “Leonharditag” (6. Nov).
 
Headache stone “Kopfwehstein” by the chapel “Wolfgangkapelle”
 
A unique feature in close proximity to the “Wolfgangkapelle” is the headache stone “Kopfwehstein”
A skew stone slab with a head-sized round deepening. Legend says this deepening comes from the head of St. Wolfgang, who rested at this place. When visitors lay their head in this deepening, according to the legend, their headache pain will disappear.
