The former dwelling-house of Johannes Kepler is a place of the dialogue of the sciences with the population and the guests of Linz.
Johannes Kepler resided in Linz from 1612 to 1626. He lived from 1622 onwards with his family in the house belonging to the Linz merchant Altenstrasser at Rathausgasse 5. It was here that Kepler completed his main work, the "Rudolph Tables". The first printing shop in Linz was located in the same building beginning in 1745.
