The baroque parish church is located in the centre of Hofkirchen. The parish church of Hofkirchen i.M. was built between 1716 and 1739 under the vicars Franz Anton Albrecht, Andreas Kolzauer and Michael Weillnpöck. The lordship of Falkenstein-Salburger and the citizens of the market made great contributions to the beautiful baroque church. After 23 years of construction, the church was solemnly consecrated by His Excellency Prince Archbishop Josef Dominikus Count Lamberg of Passau on 28 June 1739. The church was destroyed again by fire in 1764 (church roof). The parish church, including the former cemetery, is separated from the market square by the addition of houses. Jakob Pwanger's involvement at the end of the construction period was probably decisive for the artistic impression. Our parish church is dedicated to St Ulrich.
