Fischen in der Donau

Fishing in the Danube Approximately 40 species of fish can be found in the Danube. Anyone wishing to fish must carry the following cards/ID cards/licences in their name:

Fishing licence with photo
current licence book for Upper Austria
written authorisation (fishing permit) from the manager of the fishing water in question
Persons who have not yet reached the age of 12 may only fish when accompanied by a supervisor.

They must carry their own licence book and the fishing card of the respective manager of the fishing water. The supervisor is responsible for compliance with the fishing regulations. In particular, they must carry the official fishing licence with photograph.
