Contemporary History "Linz - in situ
Special guided tour for schools

The first half of the 20th century brought massive upheavals and changes in Linz's history. This period formed the basis for the city that presents itself to visitors today. As early as 1986 Linz declared itself a "City of Peace" and since then has promoted dialogue and measures for peace.
City Tour Contemporary History between 1938 and 1945 Linz, the "Führer's City":
The city where A. Hitler spent his youth.
The city that was to be developed into a sponsor city, on a par with those in Germany.
How does Linz deal with this legacy today? We discover many places where the Nazi era
seemingly passed by without a trace. Who were the protagonists of the Nazi era in Linz? How and where did these people live? And what is actually left of the "godfather city of the Führer"?
