Its unique location on the Danube, its timelessly noble architecture, but above all the excellent acoustics of its two halls make the Brucknerhaus Linz, which was opened in 1974 by the Vienna Philharmonic under Herbert von Karajan, one of the most attractive concert halls in the world. Every year, from 4 September, Anton Bruckner's birthday, to 11 October, the anniversary of his death, the International Bruckner Festival Linz takes place here. Leading orchestras and ensembles, celebrated conductors, world stars of opera and top soloists dedicate themselves to the work of Anton Bruckner, but also perform works by other composers who nevertheless have a connection to Bruckner.
