History

Through the well-preserved buildings and the quarry the Concentration Camp Memorial Site remains a horrifying testament to the evils of Nazism.

The permanent display at the former hospital wing offers a true depiction of Nazi concentration camp system and of the Mauthausen Concentration Camp with its related subcamps.

The "Todesstiege" is accessible during the same period and in good weather (no heavy rain, no storm etc.), 9-16:45 (last admission)

27.10.-28.02.: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 15:45 (admission until 15:30)
The "Todesstiege" is not accessible during this period! The entire memorial is closed on Mondays.

Please note: closed at Christmas (24.12.-26.12.), New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (31.12.-01.01.)
