For the festive Christmas season
it's finally time in St. Florian:
The abbey parish cordially invites you
to be together again in a contemplative atmosphere.
 
Decorated stalls in the arcades
offer handicrafts and good things to eat.
Children, come along to do handicrafts in the Wichtelstube
or to the book cinema in the parish library.
 
Of course there is not only food and drink,
thanks to the many Floridians:
also Christmas biscuits and Advent wreaths to take home.
The parish hall will be our coffee parlour.
 
At 4:30 pm, the Advent wreaths will be consecrated,
after which the brass players will be ready
to "blow Advent carols" from the balcony,
this has been a tradition for centuries.
 
Not only our parish will be happy about the proceeds from our get-together,
but also social projects will be supported,
so that our celebrations also benefit others.
 
We are looking forward to the pre-Christmas season
and to many conversations with "nice people".

2.15 and 3.30 p.m. book cinema for 3-6 year olds in the parish library (duration approx. 15 min)
2.30 to 5.00 p.m. handicrafts with children (parish hall)
3.00 p.m. Advent concert in the Marienkapelle
6.30 p.m. Advent wreath consecration in the collegiate basilica
