Mobility along the Danube Cycle Path

How do I get to the Danube Cycle Path? Everything about arrival, bike transport and luggage service can be found here:

Arrival

Donauuferbahn

On the Donauuferbahn, the same train sets with a bicycle capacity of 10 bicycle parking spaces per set are always in operation. Exceptions are the trains 6381 (Linz from 16:08) and 6374 (Grein-Bad Kreuzen from 06:01) from Mon to Fri when working day, these run with a shuttle train with 7 bicycle parking spaces in each driving trailer.

On the website you will find the current tariff information for bicycle transport (oebb.at).

To the timetable

You are tired from the day before or the weather is not optimal, in short, you are looking for an alternative to the bike? Alternatives by train, boat or personal shuttle:

Sections of the Danube Cycle Path can be tackled by train and you can also return to the starting point of your Danube Cycle Path tour by public transport. The Donauuferbahn takes its guests comfortably to the Danube towns on the left bank of the Strudengau or the Mühlkreisbahn from Linz to the Mühlviertel.

In the regional trains from Linz to Passau, ambitious cyclists have enough space to take their bicycles along. On each of these trains, 10-20 bicycles can be taken along in designated bicycle parking facilities.

With the Einfach-Raus ticket of ÖBB (group ticket for 2-5 persons) many possibilities are open. If you want to take your bike with you, the Einfach-Raus-Radticket also offers an interesting solution.

Upon personal request, the Kofferbutler will also bring your luggage from hotel to hotel. Ideal for multi-day cycling tours along the Inn and Danube cycle paths.
