Mobility along the Danube Cycle Path
You are tired from the day before or the weather is not optimal, in short, you are looking for an alternative to the bike? Alternatives by train, boat or personal shuttle:
Sections of the Danube Cycle Path can be tackled by train and you can also return to the starting point of your Danube Cycle Path tour by public transport. The Donauuferbahn takes its guests comfortably to the Danube towns on the left bank of the Strudengau or the Mühlkreisbahn from Linz to the Mühlviertel.
In the regional trains from Linz to Passau, ambitious cyclists have enough space to take their bicycles along. On each of these trains, 10-20 bicycles can be taken along in designated bicycle parking facilities.
With the Einfach-Raus ticket of ÖBB (group ticket for 2-5 persons) many possibilities are open. If you want to take your bike with you, the Einfach-Raus-Radticket also offers an interesting solution.
For those who want to travel to the Upper Austrian Danube region by bus, train or bike and want to save themselves the trouble of lugging their luggage, the Kofferbutler offers an uncomplicated luggage service.
Upon personal request, the Kofferbutler will also bring your luggage from hotel to hotel. Ideal for multi-day cycling tours along the Inn and Danube cycle paths.
A leisurely boat trip or crossing by ferry are great ways to conquer the element of water and change your perspective on the Danube region. Information about liner cruises, excursion cruises, charters & ferries can be found at
