Welcome to the bathing lake in Waldhausen
A swimming lake with a 3.5-hectare water surface, a dock with three access points to the lake, a beach volleyball court, a wakeboarding and water skiing lift, a wellness and fitness park, a children’s slide and sandboxes for our youngest visitors, a large sunbathing lawn, a walking path around the entire recreational area, and fishing opportunities.The Waldhausen swimming lake offers excellent water quality and pleasant water temperatures.
FISHING AT THE SWIMMING LAKE
The fishing season at the Waldhausen Swimming Lake begins on May 1 and ends on October 15.
Fishing season pass: €200.00; reduced-rate fishing season pass (ages 12 through 14): €160.00
Daily fishing permit: €20.00; reduced-rate daily fishing permit (ages 12 through 14): €16.00

Please note that fishing is permitted only with a valid fishing license, annual fishing license, or a day or season pass. The Provincial Fishing Association’s enforcement officers are conducting more frequent inspections.

- Leave the motorway in Amstetten (exit West)
- Continue towards Grein (19 KM)
- Continue towards Sarmingstein (7 KM)
- In Sarmingstein turn left towards Waldhausen (8 KM)
Journey by car on the A1 from Vienna:
- leave motorway in Ybbs
- continue through Ybbs towards Grein (22 KM)
- in Sarmingstein turn right towards Waldhausen (8 KM)

Westbahnhof to St. Valentin, change to the Donauuferbahn
West station to Amstetten, change to the bus in the direction of Grein, Waldhausen, Dorfstetten
