Death has always been a central figure in the dark universe of the Tiger Lillies. In “Songs for the Dead,” the cult legends led by Martyn Jacques explore mortality, grief, murder, memory, and the dark humor of the inevitable.

In “Songs for the Dead,” the cult legends led by Martyn Jacques explore mortality, grief, murder, memory, and the dark humor of the inevitable. With dark cabaret, anarchic opera, and biting humor, classics like “Heroin,” “Gin,” and “Crack of Doom” meet new compositions—macabre, spot-on, and moving.
