Brucknerhaus Linz

Renowned, internationally renowned concert hall with outstanding acoustics in a marvellous, central location on the Danube.

Its location in the Danube Park, its timelessly elegant architecture by Finnish architects Heikki and Kaija Siren and, above all, the excellent acoustics of its two halls make the Brucknerhaus in Linz one of the most attractive concert halls in the world. Opened in 1974 by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra under Herbert von Karajan, it offers renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists from all over the world an exquisite platform. In addition to stars of the international classical music scene, the Brucknerhaus also regularly hosts national music greats and offers young talents the chance to gain their first important experience.

The International Bruckner Festival Linz, which is organised by the Brucknerhaus and takes place every year from 4 September (Bruckner's birthday) to 11 October (the day Bruckner died), also takes place at the Brucknerhaus for the most part. The Visualised Sound Cloud as part of the Bruckner Festival is also an event at the Brucknerhaus, which is often included in the scenic performance.

However, the Brucknerhaus is by no means reserved for classical music. It organises around 200 of its own events each year, covering a wide range of themes and including jazz, world music, readings and a wide range of children's and youth concerts. Guest organisers enrich the programme with ballet and musical performances, folk concerts and much more. The BRUCKNER'S restaurant has been catering for the culinary well-being of visitors since 2018.
