Full of remorse, he soon wanted to get out of this bargain again. He returned all the money to the Devil and exclaimed a quick prayer in despair. The Devil got really furious and rammed his pitchfork into the stone - and these signs are still visible. The second legend regarding the Devil and the Stone Cross also occurred in Lembach. The Devil got into a serious fight with a farmer at night. The farmer cut off a Devil´s horn. Racked with pain, the Devil slammed his foot into a stone. And these signs are still visible as well.
