This tour takes you on the trail of Most past meadow orchards to the cider museum. Starting point of the tour is the tourist information in Bad Schallerbach, directly from the town you go on the panoramic bike path R19 to St. Marienkirchen an der Polsenz.

Photo stop: Shortly before it goes downhill to St. Marienkirchen you have a beautiful view of the hilly countryside and on good days you can even see as far as the Mühlviertel.

Once you arrive in St. Marienkirchen, be sure to stop at the Samareiner Mostmuseum. The theme Most winds like a "red thread" through the museum. At various information booths the rich knowledge about the "land acid" is brought closer to the museum visitor.
Questions such as "What makes me a Most connoisseur?", "Does Most only exist here and what are its relatives called?", "Since when has Most existed and who promoted it?" are answered in an exciting and vivid way. A tasting - a so-called Genussschluckerl may not be missing at the end of course.

Continue on the Obst-Hügel-Land cycle path N1 along the many orchards. After Lameth you turn back onto the R19 Panorama cycle path back to St. Marienkirchen, where you again follow the N1 cycle path into the Polsenztal. A short stop before you head towards Breitenaich to briefly examine the huge Mostkrug at the traffic circle is almost a must.

In the flattest part of the route from Finklham on the Trattnachtal cycle path R17, the Innbachtal cycle path V1 from Kitzing and the panoramic bike path R19 from Haag, you can then drive back to Bad Schallerbach quite relaxed.

The perfect conclusion for this tour is the sauna mountain village "AusZeit" in the EurothermenResort Bad Schallerbach. Here, the largest Most-Fassl in the world awaits you. The history of Most is explained on a screen and in between the "Most-Bartl" hands out a piece of apple, naturally cloudy apple juice during the Mostroas and a taste of Most after the sauna session. At the program point Mostkost Erdäpfelkas (=potato cheese) or a Speckjause (=bacon snack) will be served.
