The descent then begins (very idyllic forest path) down to Klingenbergstraße into Thomastal. Now it is only 700 metres along the road to the "Zum Stillen Tal" inn. After a rest and refreshment, continue up the valley along the romantic Schurzmühlbach stream to Hofer (3,470 m). Here, a footbridge leads over the stream and a narrow forest path up to Unterdörfl. Now you hike through open terrain, coming from the north, over the Mariahilfberg back to Bad Kreuzen.
