The starting point for this linear tour through the "Silent Valley" is in front of the tourist information centre in Bad Kreuzen. The route initially runs westwards, first through the village, then down through a short stretch of forest. The "Zum Stillen Tal" inn is about one kilometre away on a road with little traffic. From here, the trail continues northwards, following the course of the valley upstream, past the oldest power station in the region and information boards about the valley and its flora, fauna and other interesting facts. This is followed by a short ascent, then the trail leads leisurely through sections of forest and along forest paths to the sports and leisure centre in Pabneukirchen. Now it's a short climb up the hill to the centre of the market town and the end of this tour is reached. Optional return transfer by regional bus.
