At the beginning of the 20th century, Paul's grandmother was a respected healer in rural Austria. After the Second World War, from 1945, she initiated her grandson Paul into the secret family recipes that had been passed down for generations. The young Paul developed a deep knowledge of medicinal herbs, which earned him the name "Herb Paul". This gave rise to the legend of a man whose life was all about the power of Alpine herbs. Herb Paul's passion for herbs and his tireless desire to learn made him one of the first experts to combine ancient knowledge with modern research.
