Lichtung im Kürnberger Wald

In a beautiful clearing, far from the nearest settlement but easily accessible for hikers, a mysterious installation is erected in the forest. Here, Bruckner's works sound in an excellent sound-artistic arrangement, through repetition and stretching as a month-long continuum. The loudspeakers are invisibly integrated at this point in the forest. It is not about volume, but about Bruckner's spirit and his sacred place. The sounds will blend into the acoustic ambience of the forest in such a way that they literally float or sail in it.

The clearing is located in the Kürnberg Forest and will be used from 13 February to 10 November 2024 - for 272 x 24 hours. The Google Maps data is: 862J+P49. The site is easily accessible from the car park on the Kürnberg hiking trail in Hainzenbachstraße (429.71 metres as the crow flies), from the former Gasthaus Jäger im Kürnberg (today: Forsthausstraße 72, 4060 Leonding - 1.79 km as the crow flies). From Wilhering Abbey it takes a little longer at 3.94 kilometres as the crow flies.
