Hessenplatz (also known as *Hessenpark*) is a park in the [Inner City district](https://www.linzwiki.at/wiki/Bezirk_Innere_Stadt/ "Bezirk Innere Stadt") [of Linz](https://www.linzwiki.at/wiki/Linz/ "Linz").

 It has borne its name since April 1934. The square was initially called *Marktplatz*, but the name was changed to *Kaiser-Wilhelm-Platz* during the First World War and finally to *Pestalozziplatz* in the subsequent republic. The square blends into the image of the chessboard-like Neustadt district, but unlike the other blocks, it is not built on but has a green park.
