They switched from conventional cattle farming to organic sheep's milk production and lamb fattening. A year before handing over the farm, the two began rearing over 100 Lacaune lambs, which were purchased from farmers in Lower Austria at the age of 10 days. The Lacaune sheep breed is a dual-purpose breed and originally comes from the south of France. In 2012, they built a new barn for 200 dairy sheep. The existing cattle barn was extended and completely remodelled to accommodate a hay drying system. It now has space for 150 lambs and the milking equipment. At present, 135 dairy sheep are milked in the 24-place milking parlour.
