In 1967, they founded the Perg Local History Association, which is now an active cultural organiser in Perg as the Perg Local History and Museum Association. The Perg Heritage Society makes a valuable contribution to the cultural life of the town of Perg through various club activities. Excursions to the surrounding area, annual general meetings, lectures in words, pictures and sound, readings, autumn trips and two special exhibitions a year on interesting topics, hikes and guided tours of the town are always popular events. The association is also always present at other events - open days, monument days, etc. With the "School and Museum" campaign, a thematic and didactic concept was created to fulfil the requirements of modern museum education. The association is represented with articles in newspapers, monthly magazines and yearbooks. Numerous memberships in museum associations and closed cooperations have made the Heimatverein Perg known and recognised far beyond the district borders.
