Regionality tastes good: the stylishly furnished Haiß farm shop is a true gourmet's paradise. The seasonal fresh vegetables, over 50 old and young varieties, come directly from the farm. Selected specialities from the region are also on offer, from A for apple crisps to Z for goat's cheese, much of it organic. The Haiß farm shop offers friendly and competent advice and provides information about the region and the origin of the products. The Eferding Basin is the vegetable garden of Upper Austria, and if you cycle carefully through this fertile plain south of the Danube, you will discover the wide range of varieties that thrive here: cabbage and lettuce heads in rows, onions, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and much more that your heart desires. Vegetables have also been grown and harvested on the Haiß family farm in Hartkirchen for generations. A good 20 years ago, only vegetables were grown in the fields, but now there are around 50 different varieties. The philosophy of the Haiß farming family is as simple as it is impressive: producing and selling regionally means short and environmentally friendly transport routes. At the same time, the range is seasonally orientated - each season sets the table with its typical vegetables. The friendly farm shop of the Haiß family's farm shop is inviting. The old front door is now located inside the salesroom. It is both a beautiful and rustic symbol of the long tradition of the hereditary farm and the knowledge of the good things in life that has accumulated here over many decades.
