It was created by merging three renowned hospitals at two locations and forms a high-performance medical center for around 1.5 million people from Upper Austria. With around 7,000 employees and around 1,800 beds, Kepler University Hospital is Austria's second largest hospital and brings together numerous medical disciplines and specialists from all healthcare professions. The Med Campus site offers patients the full range of surgical, conservative and diagnostic services. It is also home to a comprehensive competence center for gynecology, pediatrics and adolescent medicine. The Neuromed Campus has established itself as an international neuromedical center in recent decades. Patients with diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nervous system and mental illnesses are treated here.
