In 1582, Emperor Rudolf II confirmed the trade regulations of the Perger millstone crushers, which lasted until 1859. However, the profession of millstone crusher gradually died out after the First World War. Today's open-air site, which was made accessible again in 1988, shows the remains of what was once a large quarry.
