Day 1 - Individual arrival in Wesenufer
Your mountain bike vacation begins on the banks of the Danube in Wesenufer. Room check-in and handover of the MTB tours documents at the hotel. Hotel example: Hotel Seminarkultur in Wesenufer

Day 2 - From Wesenufer to Kohlstatt, approx. 65 km, 1,700 am
You start the mountain bike tour Grande Granit in the European protected area Upper Danube Valley. You will take the first ascent to the panoramic village of Pfarrkirchen on the left. The breathtaking alpine view accompanies you on the subsequent long descent through the granite highlands. The MTB route of the Grande Granit Runde leads deep into the rural hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel. Now you have to pedal hard once again, because the Ameisberg has to be conquered. The reward is the ascent to the lookout tower, which guarantees a magnificent view. In good weather, mind you! The following fast-paced fun descent leads you directly past Altenhof Castle (photo stop). You will cover the last part of the day at a more leisurely pace to Kohlstatt. Day 3 - From Kohlstatt to St. Stefan, approx. 65 km, 1,700 am
From Kohlstatt you mountain bike - with the Bohemian Forest ridge in view - to the northernmost point of the loop. Congratulations! Via Julbach the MTB tour leads to the Kleine Mühltal and on to Sarleinsbach. The final mountain stage to St. Stefan makes you feel your calves once again. But then it's done: you have reached the roof of the tour at 805 meters above sea level! Hotel example: Gasthof zur Großen Linde in St. Stefan

Day 4 - From St. Stefan to Waxenberg, approx. 45 km, 1,100 am
This day on your MTB vacation in the Mühlviertel offers pure biking fun - including wide views and forest trails. Leisurely it goes along a ridge to Guglwald. The Steinerne Mühl accompanies you on the hilly mountain bike tour into the hinterland. There are 2 mountain stages to master on this mountain bike stage: First the ascent to the Petersberg and then to the Hansberg (panoramic peak with photo stop recommended!!). The long pleasure descent into the small Rodltal valley is balm for the strained muscles. And soon Waxenberg, the stage destination of the Grande Granit Runde, greets you. Day 5 - From Waxenberg to Untermühl, approx. 45 km, 800 am
Motto of the day: The flow sets the pace! Get on your mountain bike in Waxenberg and set off in the direction of the Kleine Rodl. Through the forest you take the ascent to the ridge and back down to Neußerling. In St. Martin, a stop on the Grande Granit Runde is recommended, after all, the local granite beer wants to be sizzling tasted. Real down-to-earth electrolytes for the athlete. The exertion of the day is already behind you, because now follows a long descent to Untermühl on the Danube. Hotel example: Hotel-Gasthof Ernst in Untermühl

Day 6 - From Untermühl to Wesenufer, approx. 50 km, 1,200 am
The grand finale of the mountain bike tour in the Mühlviertel lies ahead of you! Starting from Untermühl, you will go up and down through the slope canyon forests of the Danube valley three times to the high plateau. Be sure to plan a stop at the 360° panoramic viewing tower "Donau am Berg" in Kirchberg ob der Donau. The last ascent follows in the Kleine Mühltal and an enjoyable farewell lap across the granite highlands. The crowning finale of your MTB vacation in Upper Austria is a 7.5 km long dream descent over the heart of the natural wonder Schlögener Donauschlinge. Finally, you will reach Wesenufer on the Danube again at a relaxed pace. Luggage return until 5:30 pm at the latest.
