In the course of the 2023 construction work, an increased need for renovation - due to age - arose, which was not yet apparent at the beginning of the renovation work. For this reason, the barrier will not be opened during the winter months of 2023/2024 as planned, but will remain in place until the end of October 2024.

Next crossing possibilities:

Engelhartszell ferry service: 26-29.10.2023. Then no ferry service until 20 April 2024.

For the Obernzell ferry, the winter timetable already applies until 12.05.2024: Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 16.30 hrs
